Since 2019, KBS has partnered with a national logistics provider to support what now covers a total of 70 million square feet of high-traffic warehouse space across the U.S. What began as a single test site has evolved into a Center of Excellence focused on continuous innovation, operational efficiency, and performance improvement at scale.
The Challenge:
The client required scalable solutions to improve cleaning performance, safety, and cost efficiency across complex warehouse environments. These facilities presented unique challenges, including limited water access, heavy dust and debris, elevated surfaces, and the ongoing need to optimize labor while maintaining uninterrupted operations.
The Solution:
KBS partnered closely with the client and key manufacturers to design and deploy practical, scalable innovations tailored to demanding logistics environments. This included a purpose-built vacuum-and-water system engineered to capture corrugate dust, as well as expanded applications for high dusting and under-equipment cleaning. These solutions helped improve cleanliness, safety, and consistency across sites.
To overcome water and drainage limitations, KBS engineered a mezzanine cleaning solution using aqueous ozone technology delivered through an extended hose system. In parallel, KBS re-engineered labor models and on-site workflows, applying data-driven decision making to optimize staffing, task sequencing, and processes.
