Tuesday, August 26, 2025

Oceanside, CA (August 26, 2025) – Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, LLC (KBS), North America’s largest privately held facility services provider, today announced a leadership transition that marks the next chapter in the company’s growth. After four decades of transformational leadership, Mark Minasian has moved from Chief Executive Officer to Chairman of the Board, effective August 25. As Chairman, Minasian will remain actively engaged, focusing on strategy, governance, and supporting KBS’s continued expansion. The company has appointed James Hyman as Chief Executive Officer.

Minasian, who co-founded Bergensons in 1984, has been the driving force behind KBS’s rise to industry leadership. Under his guidance, the company has grown from a regional provider into a trusted partner to many of the world’s leading brands—including nearly half of the Fortune 100—delivering essential facility services daily to more than 2 billion square feet across North America. His vision and leadership carried KBS through key strategic inflection points, including the formation of innovative commercial alliances, investments in technology and automation, and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic—all while shaping the company’s distinctive culture.

“Over time we’ve clearly demonstrated our industry leadership, scale, resilience, commercial momentum and the agility of the KBS platform. This transition will take the power of the KBS brand to the next level, while remaining true to our core values,” said Minasian. With James stepping in as CEO, and with the continued dedication of our incredible team, I am confident KBS is entering its most exciting chapter yet.”

James is a proven CEO with more than 25 years of leadership experience transforming companies, accelerating growth, and positioning organizations for long-term success. He has previously been CEO of seven complex, multi-location B2B services businesses and also held leadership roles at GE Capital, McKinsey, and JPMorgan.

“I am excited to join KBS at such a pivotal moment,” said Hyman. “Mark’s vision and leadership have built an extraordinary foundation. Backed by world-class investors—KKR, Ares Management and Blackrock—KBS has the scale, resources, and team to accelerate growth, strengthen our market leadership, and unlock new opportunities for innovation.”
